Upcoming UW-Stout IEEE Plans
Ever since the Stout branch of IEEE was revived back in 2010, it has had a promising potential and was expected by all members to be able to bring students out and get them involved in projects along with collaborating with other students on such projects.
We have realized that it unfortunately hasn't lived up to that expectation. The officers for the upcoming academic year have been meeting for some time now and have been planning out a much more exciting experience for all members. We are planning to have tours as well as more speakers along with many more workshops and project opportunities.
We are also going to try to make more use of our website. Because of the new opportunities for members, we are going to need to streamline the process and the website will be able to help us do so. There will be posts regarding how to apply for project sponsorship with the IEEE branch and hopefully step-by-step guides when filling out the forms to make sure everything is done proper.
We hope to see everybody come out for the workshops at the beginning of the Fall 2013 semester and have a great summer!
Note: If you have any ideas, please e-mail our secretary or the project coordinator
